Five killed, two injured in road accident

In a ghastly road accident that took place at Peddapur in Medak district on Tuesday evening, five persons were killed on the spot and two others were injured. All of them belong to a single family. Two children survived the accident, while parents were killed. The condition of the injured was stated to be serious and they were shifted to Sangareddy Government Hospital for treatment.

According to Sadashivapet Sub-Inspector B. Ramesh, a family of seven started their journey to Sangareddy from Nandikandi in their own Tata Acer auto. While on their way, the vehicle lost control and hit a lorry coming in the opposite direction.

Auto driver Neerudi Sadanandam (30), his wife Prasanna Sheela (25), Neerudi Anitha (30), her daughter Hansy (one- and-a-half-year) and Begari Susheela (40) died on the spot. Two-and-a-half-year old Manu and Ishu (one-and-a-half year)- both children of Sadanandam and Susheela- escaped with serious injuries.

Bodies of the deceased were shifted to Sangareddy hospital for treatment. Sadashivapet police registered a case and are investigating.
