Five persons were seriously injured when a lorry loaded with chilli bags fell from a road over bridge at Nudurupadu in Phirangipuram mandal in the early hours of Friday. The injured were being treated at GGH, Guntur. The lorry was coming from Gonegundla village in Kurnool mandal and was heading towards the Chilli Yard in Guntur.
Police said that the incident had taken place at 3 a.m. The driver could have lost control while negotiating a curve and the lorry fell from a height of 30 feet.
