East Godavari District Collector H. Arun Kumar has directed various departments to complete Godavari Pushkaram works in a time-bound manner. He was addressing the first empowerment committee meeting of East and West Godavari districts on Godavri Pushkarams at R&B Guesthouse in Rajahmundry on Tuesday
He said every department should have a plan mentioning the time frame for completion of works. The Collector also suggested that priority be given to ghat extension and construction of new rural ghats to meet pilgrims’ requirements.
He agreed to provide the required sand for Pushkaram works from the existing dedicated reaches.
