A final year student of a city college, died after she fell from the fourth floor of the college building in Somajiguda on Thursday morning.

Police suspect it to be a suicide based on the preliminary investigations.

Police said B. Anusha (17), a final year Commerce student was talking on her mobile phone on the top. This was objected to by the lecturer, since a test for other students was held nearby.

Even as the victim was persuaded by a sweeper to leave the place, she jumped accidentally from the fourth floor, police said quoting the preliminary reports.

One of the lecturers had shifted the victim to the nearby private hospital where she breathed her last while being treated for multiple injuries.

The case is under investigation.
