One is LA Act -2013 and the other is GO 123 introduced by the State government. Farmers can be extended compensation as per their wish,” said a statement released by the Chief Minister’s office.

In a related development at Sangareddy, District Collector D. Ronald Rose clarified that the land acquisition for Mallannasagar would be taken up as per the Land Acquisition Act -2013 and the notification would be issued in this regard shortly. Speaking to reporters here, Mr. Ronald said the government would not forcibly acquire land from farmers and they were already explained the benefits that would be offered under GO 123 and the LA Act -2013.

The Collector also said that market price meant the price decided by the Registration Department and the regulations under the Act would be implemented without violation. Many of the land oustees expressed satisfaction over the government announcement on implementation of the LA Act for paying compensation.
