Ex-Minister, former DGP set to join YSRC

Former Minister K. Parthasarathi and former DGP V. Dinesh Reddy are likely to join the YSR Congress in the presence of party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy here on Monday.

According to sources, Mr. Dinesh Reddy will enter the electoral fray from one of the Assembly constituencies in and around Hyderabad. Meanwhile, the manifesto committee of the party spent all of Sunday on fine-tuning the party’s policy document for the ensuring general elections. Sources said the party leadership was planning to release the manifesto and a list of candidates on Monday.

Senior leader of the party, Ummareddy Venkateswarlu, said on Sunday that the party would go it alone in the elections as there was no time for alliances now.
