Ex gratia for Hudhud victims

Rural Development Minister K. Mrunalini on Thursday handed over the Central ex gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each to kin of 14 persons who were killed by Cyclone Hudhud last year, at Vizianagaram. The State government had already given Rs. 5 lakh each to the victims’ kin. The total amount paid to each cyclone victim was Rs. 7 lakh. Later, She distributed TVS mopeds and ice boxes, all worth Rs. 38, 300, to each of 65 fishermen . Of the amount, the government subsidy for SC/ST beneficiaries was 30 per cent and for BCs it was 25 per cent.
