‘Ensure transparency in allotment of cottages’

The TTD is contemplating bringing in more transparency in allotment of cottages at Tirumala.

Speaking at a high-level meeting with officials of IT and reception wing TTD Executive Officer D. Sambasiva Rao urged them to adopt advanced technology in allotment system. Such should be the transparency that any visiting pilgrim should be at ease to access the choice of his accommodation.

He urged the officials to develop a systematic data base with regard to various cottages and guest houses along with their tariffs and availability. Entire information should be made available to pilgrims at the click of the mouse. The main intention behind the exercise is to enable the devout avail required accommodation with comfort. Tirumala based JEO K.S. Srinivasa Raju, IT and Transport GM Sesha reddy, and Additional CVSO Siva Kumar Reddy were among those present.

Additional laddus

Meanwhile, the TTD resolved to provide two laddus additionally to every pilgrim having the darshan of the presiding deity in the Dharma darshan queue lines.

Mr, Srinivasa Raju said that the two extra laddus would be provided to deveotees at normal cost of Rs. 25 each in addition to the two laddus being provided at a subsidised cost of Rs.10 each.
