Engg. students develop ‘Safe Journey’ app

April 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:53 am IST - KURNOOL:

The students of Computer Science at Ravindra Engineering College here developed a mobile app ‘Safe Journey’ to flash SOS in times of crisis. The app has to be loaded into sender’s as well as receiver’s mobile for best result and clarity. Even otherwise also, the sender could transmit the SOS to non-app mobiles. The app handles five critical functions like beaming SMS where the sender is positioned, Google map of the place, details of the vehicle travelling if fed by the user earlier, current conversation and photos without the click sound.
