Enforcement Directorate officials questioned industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, suspended IAS officer B.P. Acharya and bureaucrat K.V. Brahmananda Reddy in Chanchalguda prison here on Monday in the disproportionate assets case against YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganamohan Reddy.

A three-member team of the ED along with assistants grilled the three accused separately from the angle of violations under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in the case. Sources stated that focus of their questioning was on the investments made by Prasad in different companies of Jagan. The ED officials reportedly grilled Prasad as to where Rs. 300 crore ‘saved’ in the compensation paid to land owners while acquiring 15,000 acres for Vanpic project had gone. The ED was said to have questioned bureaucrats, Acharya and Brahmananda Reddy on their actions benefiting the Vanpic.
