Police seized documents pertaining to financial transactions from Agri Gold branch here on Tuesday. A case under IPC Sections 402 and 406 has been registered in Chilakalapdu police station after the seizure, according to Investigation Officer and Circle Inspector P. Janardhana Rao.
Mr. Rao said that the documents would be submitted to the CID as a part of the investigation into the case. Machilipatnam police revealed that the financial transaction of nearly 2,000 depositors under various schemes offered by the Agri Gold was done through the branch, located in the Krishna district headquarters, Machilipatnam. On the other hand, hundreds of depositors on Tuesday turned up at the Agri Gold office.
