Didn’t take cooperative polls seriously: K.T. Rama Rao

February 02, 2013 12:59 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 10:31 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

TRS leader K.T. Rama Rao on Friday said that their party did not take the cooperative elections seriously as they were neither party-based nor ideology-based.

The ruling party supporters generally have an edge over others in such polls, he said. “We did not do any exercise and make effort as these polls are based on intra-village farmers’ relations and convenience. We told our party activists that whoever is interested can contest the polls. Besides, it’s a known fact that the influence of money and police also plays a larger role in such elections as the number of voters in some villages will be less than 100”, the TRS leader said.
