The expert committee on New Capital city which invited suggestions from the public and organisations on the location of new capital city for the successor State of Andhra Pradesh has extended the deadline to May 7.

The committee earlier requested that suggestions on location of new capital pertaining to the terms of reference be mailed to feedback.expcomt@mha.gov.in or in writing to the Centre-State Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI, 5 floor, NDCC-II building, Jaisingh Road, New Delhi-110001, by April 30.

The committee would study the suggestions and evaluate possible alternatives on the basis of availability of sufficient land, water and other essential natural resources with due regard to the possibility of de-reservation of degraded forest land.
