Criminal case registered against Lokesh

The L.B. Nagar police on Tuesday registered a criminal case against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh for allegedly tweeting some defamatory comments about TS Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

A TRS leader, V. Ramanarasimha Goud, had filed a complaint three days ago demanding action against Mr. Lokesh for his remarks against the Chief Minister. T

The police invoked Sections 504, 505 of Indian Penal Code and Section 66A of Information Technology Act against him.

Another case

Meanwhile, a local court directed the L.B. Nagar police to register a case against Mr. Lokesh on similar charges.

Action sought

Two advocates had approached the court seeking action against the leader.

“So far we have not received the order copy and will take appropriate action once we get it,” L.B. Nagar Inspector E. Srinivas Reddy said.
