Ummadi Venkateswara Rao is accused of improperly touching a woman co-passenger on board AI flight

: The Cyberabad police registered a criminal case against corporator of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Ummadi Venkateswara Rao for allegedly trying to outrage the modesty of a professor in an Air India flight.

The professor of a prestigious college in Delhi was coming to Hyderabad to attend a seminar on Friday in AI flight No. 544 when the corporator allegedly misbehaved with her, RGIA police station inspector T. Sudhakar said on Saturday. The Vijayawada-bound flight took off from Delhi at 12.30 p.m.

Police are issuing notice to the corporator seeking his explanation on the allegation made by the professor.
