Justice A. Rajasekhar Reddy of the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday directed officials to pass orders within the time stipulated by the CRDA Act on objections filed by farmers who fell within the Capital Region.
These interim directions were granted in a batch of cases filed by several farmers of Guntur district who filed objections to the scheme.
The petitiners contended that the objections filed by them against land pooling were to be disposed of by March, but no orders were passed. The judge directed officials to pass orders and made it clear that agricultural operations could be done in these lands.
Justice A.V. Sesha Sai of the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday granted one more week to police to file a counter affidavit in the writ petition filed regarding the encounter death of Vikaruddin and four others in Nalgonda district.
The writ petition was filed by the family members of deceased who alleged that it was a fake encounter, and that a CBI probe was necessary. They wanted a case of murder to be booked against police.
