CPI (M) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu on Friday blamed the State Government’s “negligence” for the twin bomb blasts at Dilsukhanagar.
At a press conference here, he said that Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde himself had stated that the Centre had sent an alert two days ago and yet the State government treated it as “routine” information.
Terming the bomb blasts as “pre-planned and wellcalculated terrorist act”, he said the State executive of the party which met here on Friday condemned the barbaric act. It also reviewed the political situation and problems faced by the people.
Despite there being a history of such incidents in the city with the functioning of terrorists cells and Dilsukhnagar being the target in the past, the State government acted in a negligent manner, which was “an unpardonable crime”. Mr. Raghavulu said the ruling dispensation was not bothered about protecting people’s lives and the Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy was busy holding “camps’ in the wake of the cooperative elections.
The CPI (M) leader said there was no governance in the State due to political uncertainty whether Andhra Pradesh would remain united or get bifurcated.
