Additional District and Sessions Judge P. Kalyan Rao on Monday took a serious view of the ‘laxity’ of the police in handling a murder case Holding the inaction by the police responsible for acquittal of the accused in a murder case, the Judge directed the police to initiate action against J. Seetarama Sway, presently DSP at Nuzvid in Krishna district, and Inspector Chandrasekhar Rao, and SI D.T.C. Krishna, who were entrusted with the investigation of the case.

The judge held that the police officers had failed in cooperating with the court in the trial of the case. They did not even honour the summons served by the court, seeking their presence during the trial, he said.

Irra Isaac, a resident of Poduru, was murdered in 2009 in which three persons figured as the accused. They were acquitted on Monday due to the failure of the police in producing evidences before the court, according to the Judge.
