A local court today directed the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to file an FIR against six persons including two IAS officers and an IPS officer for allegedly causing Rs 660-crore loss to Andhra Pradesh government by hatching a conspiracy to favour a company, according to an advocate.
On a petition filed by advocate T Sriranga Rao, the ACB Court sent a notice to the Director General of the bureau directing it to file an FIR against the four government officials and two persons from Raheja Corporation Limited.
The ACB Court also asked the bureau to investigate and file a detailed report on the complaint and file its status report by March 31, advocate Mr. Rao said.
The petitioner had alleged that Principal Secretary (IT) K Ratna Prabha, Principal Secretary (Home) B P Acharya, Special Secretary Gopi Krishna and Joint Secretary B S Murthy (both in IT Department) colluded with Raheja Group officials and reduced the 11 per cent stake of AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation in the joint venture with Raheja’s Mindspace project in Madhapur here to 0.006 per cent.
Mr. Rao in his petition had alleged that “The government’s share in the JV came down to 0.006 per cent as against 11 per cent due to unilateral decisions taken by the four government officials which caused more than Rs 660 crore loss to the exchequer.”
He also sought for registration of case against the four officials as also against Neil Raheja, Managing Director of K Raheja Corporation and B Rabindranath, Head of Mindspace project, under Prevention of Corruption Act and IPC for cheating and criminal conspiracy, among other charges.
