Keen on further strengthening its non-fiction genre, Maa TV for some time has been working out newer concepts and formats of game shows and events. It is in this direction that the general entertainment channel has readied a show ‘Connexions’, which will start airing from April 25.

Produced by Big Synergy, ‘Connexions’ is hosted by Suma and the channel positions it as a ‘pure family show’ that holds special appeal for children.

Doing away with the usual track shows, the new initiative comes with loads of humour.

Zee Telugu launches special promos

Getting ready to launch its 10{+t}{+h} anniversary celebrations, Zee Telugu has launched promos especially designed for the occasion, featuring film actress Tamanna, who has been chosen as the brand ambassador of the channel.

Tamanna, who incidentally is also completing a decade of her foray into the big screen, presents the promo packages that compile the best of the channel in the last 10 years.

Vijay Yadav

honoured

Last week, senior actor-producer Vijay Yadav was honoured with the Achyuth Memorial Award by Swati Art Creations during their 20{+t}{+h} TV awards presentation.

The award was constituted in memory of Achyuth, the versatile film and TV actor who died at the age of 41 in 2002.

The five-time Nandi award winner was the first big star of the Telugu small screen with more than 50 serials that included Hima Bindu , Antharangalu and so on.
