Complete pushkaralu work by month-end: TTD official

TTD JEO K.S. Srinivasa Raju has asked officials to complete all works pertaining to Krishna Pushkaralu by the month-end.

Reviewing the arrangements here on Friday, the Tirumala-based official said that Chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was keen on the proactive role of the TTD during the mega religious carnival being organised in the new State capital.

He directed the engineering officials to complete the work on construction of Sri Venkateswara temple at PWD grounds in Vijayawada before the end of the month and exhorted HoDs of health, vigilance, electrical, potu, temple, civil, Annadanam and public relations departments to come up with an action plan by July 12 and get ready for field inspection in the capital city the following day.

Food for pilgrims

He asked the officials to learn from their experience during the Godavari Maha Pushkaralu and execute their responsibilities in a more efficient way. Efforts should be made to ensure food to at least 30,000 pilgrims every day free of cost during the period at the TTD’s kalyana mandapam, besides regular conduct of special cultural and religious programmes during evenings.

Prasadam

He also asked the officials to provide mini laddu and prasadam to every devotee visiting the replica temple during the pushkaralu period, besides conducting Veda meeting twice every day.
