Collector Siddarth Jain on Tuesday sought the engineers and contractors working on the Rs. 1,000 crore Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi (HNSS) to complete the works on or before August 15.

The Collector was inspecting the ongoing tunnel works at Katlatapalle and Ramireddigaripalle villages near Madanapalle division.

The Collector said that for every individual work on the project, a comprehensive schedule should be fixed, and the same be executed for achieving the target. He instructed the engineers to commission additional machines to finish the works as per deadline.

Referring to the public utility works, Mr Siddarth Jain directed the officials to coordinate with Sarpanches of the villages coming under the purview of the project, and arrange roads, drinking water and power facilities.

He directed Sub-Collector (Madanapalle) Krithika Batra to process the applications submitted for compensation.
