Committee to fix salaries forNMR employees in temples

The State government has decided to constitute a committee fix salaries for NMR employees working in various temples across the State, according to Deputy Chief Minister and Endowments Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy.

The Minister held a review meeting on salaries being paid to the temples’ employees with Endowments Department officials at the Secretariat on Tuesday. He said that Endowments Commissioner Y. V. Anuradha would head the proposed committee. Endowments Department legal advisor K.surya Rao, Regional Joint Commissioners 1 and 2 would be members of the committee, he said.

Mr. Krishnamurthy also enquired about the facilities being provided to the devotees at the Kanaka Durga temple with Executive Officer Padma and the trust board. He wanted to know why all the officials, who were posted as EOs of the Kanaka Durga temple, were facing allegations of some kind or the other.
