CM’s clarification far from convincing, says Jagan

March 19, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:54 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Leader of Opposition Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has dismissed the lengthy clarification given by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on the Pattiseema lift irrigation project, saying that it was total unconvincing.

Reacting to Mr.Naidu’s speech that lasted more than an hour touching various aspects raised by the main Opposition YSR Congress in the Assembly on Wednesday, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy said that Mr. Naidu had mastered the talent of circumventing the facts.

Showing a copy of the tender document of the project, Mr. Jagan asked whether the document mentioned that the governmeant would offer 16.9 per cent bonus. When the time for the project was one year, why should any bonus be paid for completing it by that time.
