Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday instructed the officials of the Planning and Real Time Governance (RTG) Departments and the CMO to draw up an action plan for sustaining the double-digit growth and said the performance of various departments was far below their potential.
Talking to Heads of Departments and senior officials through a teleconference, Mr. Naidu called for an analysis of why some departments had lagged in achieving the desired progress in programme implementation and to strategise accordingly to extract their best.
Scope for improvement
He would take stock of the growth prospects and the targets reached and those still not accomplished on December 12. He observed that the growth rate stood at 80% in 40 parameters and just 20% in 60. This provided scope for improvement and nothing should be left to chance if Andhra Pradesh were to steal the march over other States.
Mr. Naidu sought priority to be given to the industry and tourism sectors which could garner sizable revenues. A concerted effort must be made for completing various projects as per schedules, he added.
