CM to launch Skill Development Centres

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will launch 17 Skill Development Centres across the State on Monday.

Mr. Naidu would launch them electronically after inaugurating a web portal of AP Skill Development Corporation at Vijayawada.

A press release issued by Advisor (Communications) AP Government here said this was the first time that such centres were being started in the country for imparting training and honing the skills of youth. Keeping in view the needs of the new generation, the Chief Minister set up the Skill Development Corporation.

With the launch of 17 centres on Monday, the corporation’s activities would receive a fillip.

Some corporate companies have already come forward to join hands with the corporation in imparting training to youth.

The Chief Minister has already stated that the government was contemplating establishing a University for Skill Development, the release said.
