September 18, 2014 01:18 am | Updated 01:18 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has sought cooperation of Australia in building infrastructure, strengthening roads and drainage networks in the State.

A 14-member delegation from Australia led by Lord Mayor Graham Quirk met the Chief Minister here on Wednesday. On the occasion, Mr. Naidu explained them about the huge investment potential of the State. “Andhra Pradesh has abundant natural resources and a 1,000 km-long coastline that offer scope to create wealth. The government is now focussing on building basic infrastructure in sectors like IT, manufacturing, pharma and power,” he said.

“We still have a few impediments in our way. It is just a matter of time before Andhra Pradesh becomes one of the top three States in the country,” he said.
