Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu returned after a “successful” tour of the U.S., Dubai, and London.

If the main purpose of his visit to the U.S. and Dubai was to attract investors to the State, his stopover at London was to meet Sir Norman Foster of Foster+Partners to take a look at the designs of the iconic buildings of Assembly, High Court, and Secretariat.

Mr. Naidu said the deliberations held by him with Foster + Partners on the designs of the capital city, Amaravati, participation in the World Food Prize programme, and a round-table organised by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum and interactions with the who’s who of the corporate world in the U.S., London, and Dubai were the highlights of his three-nation tour. The Chief Minister was given a rousing reception by Ministers and senior officers on his return from a nine-day tour on Friday. He was congratulated for receiving the prestigious Golden Peacock Award in London in the Global Leadership in Public Service and Economic Transformation category.

Mr. Naidu thanked those whose support helped him in achieving the honour. He reiterated the importance of promoting the ‘Kaizala app’ that would make it easy for the people to connect with government functionaries from the grassroots level.

Later, Real Time Governance (RTG) CEO Babu A. presented a status report on RTG. He said training has been given to officers and staff of 20 departments so far and reports were updated on the CORE dashboard. In a video-conference that followed on Swachch Bharat campaign, Mr. Naidu instructed the officials to focus more on rural areas and strive to continue the success of the Open Defecation Free programme in A.P.
