CM inaugurates police office, MCR building

Spacious, modern municipal office built by spending ₹20 cr.

The newly constructed Rajamahendravaram Urban Police Office was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday. He along with Home Minister N. Chinarajappa, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Minister for Irrigation Devineni Nehru, DGP N. Sambasiva Rao, Rajamahendravaram Urban SP B. Rajakumari and others participated in this inauguration programme.

The office at Lalacheruvu, near the ONGC base complex, was constructed with ₹14 crore and includes the Armed Reserve Police office, Bell of Arms and MT shed.

Mr. Naidu also inaugurated the Regional Office of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) constructed with ₹3.45 crore.

Home Secretary Anuradha, CID I.G. Amit Garg, DIG Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and others participated in the event.

Later, the Chief Minister opened the Municipal Corporation of Rajamahendravaram’s office building. The spacious, corporate-style building was constructed with ₹20 crore.

Later, he participated in Jalasiri ki harathi at the Phuskar ghat and offered puja to River Godavari.
