Unhappy with the controversy, Mr. Naidu believed to have said in the Cabinet Meeting here on Wednesday that the Ministers should have been proactive in allaying the ryots’ concerns.

The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the proposal to acquire 10,000 acres to 12,000 acres at Bhogapuram for the airport. Ministers Ganta Srinivasarao, Ch. Ayyannapatrudu, Kimidi Mrinalini and Atchannaidu, all hailing from north Andhra, have been asked to talk to farmers and resolve the issue.Corruption

The Chief Minister believed to have told the Ministers not to tolerate corruption in the government departments. Referring to the recent pay revision, Mr. Naidu, according to sources, pointed out that the salaries of government employees were more than that of Central staff and government should get value for the salary paid.

When the sand mining issue came up for discussion, Ministers informed the Cabinet that mining was taking place in 380 sand reaches and the Cabinet decided to install CCTVs in all sand reaches and to connect them to the Central control room for strict monitoring.
