YSR Congress Party BC Cell president and former MLA Janga Krishnamurthy has alleged that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has acted detrimental to the interests of senior advocates belonging to BC communities of High Court while sending his opinion on the appointment of judges.

Mr. Krishnamurthy told media persons here on Tuesday that the startling revelations by former chairperson of BC Commission and former judge of High Court, Justice Eswaraiah had exposed the true colours of Mr. Naidu.

He said that the CM had sent his opinion to the Central government 11 months after the government sent letter seeking his opinion on some judges, and had not recommended judges belonging to BC community.

“Out of five judges against whom the CM had sent adverse opinion, two belonged to BC community and one each from SC and Brahmin community,” Mr. Krishnamurthy said adding that Mr. Naidu had again reneged on his promises of working for the welfare of BC community.

He also demanded a CBI inquiry on allegations of harassment of BC officers.
