Alarmed by reports of a Russian project to build nuclear reactors bordering Prakasam and Nellore districts, YSR Congress Whip in Parliament Y.V. Subba Reddy has urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to come clear on the understanding reached by him with Russian authorities during his recent visit to that country.
“The YSR Congress is per se not against industrial projects. But where is the need for a NPP at a time when the State is already power surplus?” he asked at a press conference here on Sunday.
