A team of middle-aged city men from different professions ventured into short filmmaking, which has become popular among the youth of late.

Md. Feroz Ahmed, in his 40s, who runs a printing business, recently came up with the short film Irfanand sending out a message on the need for integrity among the citizens of the country irrespective of religion, community and caste.

Having a penchant for filmmaking since college days, Mr. Feroz teamed up with his friends and like-minded people for the short film. While Feroz dealt with the story, dialogues, screenplay and direction, Rallapalli Krishna, an artist, K.J. Chandra Rao, a businessman, Sadiq and an RMP doctor worked for various departments. Imran Khan, a student, played the lead role, according to Feroz.

“Irfanand does not have any commercial elements as I am motivated to put forward the message I wanted to. The response to the film has been picking up,” he says. The short film released 10 days ago has been viewed by over 3,500 users on YouTube. The team is planning to make another film soon on corruption that is plaguing society.
