Lakhs of AgriGold depositors, both registered and unregistered, are visiting the counters arranged at different police stations across the State and are getting their documents verified.

Depositors are submitting the original bonds, receipts, aadhar card, bank pass book and other documents.

With the High Court (HC) recently directing the Crime Investigating Department (CID) to submit the list of the public who deposited money in different slabs, the CID police opened counters at all police stations in Andhra Pradesh from October 12.

Good response

“The response from the depositors is good and the CID will soon submit the list of the depositors slab-wise. We opened counters for depositors who could not upload their details and this is a good opportunity for unregistered depositors”, said Director General of Police (DGP) N. Sambasiva Rao.

CID Additional Director General Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said that as many as 8.5 lakh depositors got their documents verified and the process was continuing.

Around 9.9 lakh victims uploaded their details in the website.

“The documents verification process is going on in full swing, and in some districts the process has almost come to an end. We decided to continue the verification process in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and other districts, where there were highest number of depositors. We request all the depositors to visit the counters”, Mr. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao appealed.
