Chittoor traffic police seize 80 autorickshaws in special drive

The Chittoor traffic police during a two-day special drive ending Tuesday morning have seized as many as 80 autorickshaws in Chittoor town and outskirts for violating traffic norms, and referred the cases to the Regional Transport Office in Chittoor. The special drive with massive seizures comes for the first time in Chittoor.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) K. Kesappa said that the main objective of the special drive was to create a sense of fear for law among those who were given to repeated violation of traffic rules.
