The annual Srirama Navami Brahmotsavam fete drew to a close in Bhadrachalam on Thursday. The temple priests performed “Chakra Snanam” in the Godavari amidst recital of Vedic hymns in the morning. A host of other special rituals marked the conclusion of the annual fete.

A large number of devotees participated in the special pujas and rituals held in this connection. However, the Pushpa Yagam programme was postponed to Friday in view of the lunar eclipse.

Meanwhile, the entrance doors of the historical Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy shrine in the temple town were closed at 7.30 pm on Thursday.
