New in-charge Vice-Chancellor and present Registrar of Adikavi Nannaya University (ANUR) Prof. E.N. Dhanamjaya Rao has announced that Centre for Gandhian and Sustainable Development Centre (CGSDC), which is first of its kind in all universities across the country, is going to come up within the campus very soon.
This centre will be a role model in implementing Swachh Bharat, Neeru-Chettu, rainwater harvesting, integrated development of rural areas and other studies, he added.
Speaking the media on Monday after taking charge, he said that four-year courses would be introduced by signing MoUs with International Universities like Florida University to get fellowships to the students in 237 affiliated degree colleges in a span of one year.
He added that the new Skill Development Centre which was going to come up in next academic year would develop professional skills, soft skills and communication skill in students to help them shine in competitive examinations.
Prof. Rao said that the university would be focusing on Ethiopian studies from this academic year.
