Jairam Ramesh, MP, on Saturday said the Modi government has betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh by denying a special category status to the State.

During the bifurcation of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, the previous UPA government had promised to grant the status to Andhra Pradesh in February 2014, Mr. Ramesh said at a press conference.
