The week-long celebrations organised in connection with the installation of the idol of Lord Venkateswara Swami at the Indur Tirumala temple at Narsingpally in the mandal concluded on Wednesday morning.

Dwajastambham erected

Vedic pontiff and Vaishnava preacher Sri Tridandi China Jeeyar Swami, who had been camping in the village, supervised the rites and rituals observed before the installation of the idol and the erection of the dwajastambham on the temple premises.

A large number of devotees thronged the temple to witness the programme. Well-known Telugu film producer Dil Raj, who belongs to the village, and his family offered special puja s on the occasion. Incidentally, it was Dil Raj who initiated steps to renovate the old temple.
