The Principal Court for CBI cases here on Monday rejected the investigative agency’s petition to conduct narco, polygraph and brain mapping tests on YSR Congress party chief and Kadapa MP, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his financial advisor, V. Vijay Sai Reddy.
The CBI’s petition was rejected on the ground that it was not permitted without their consent as per Supreme Court judgement.
The CBI wanted to perform these tests on both of them as they did not cooperate with the investigation in the assets case against Mr. Jagan. It had even challenged them to give consent for the test to prove their innocence. It offered to admit low dosage of drugs for the narco test so that there was no harm to their health.
Mr. Jagan and Mr. Sai Reddy contended that there was no question of giving consent because they had nothing left to share with the CBI as the investigative agency has gathered all details form them when they were given in police custody.

Despite knowing ( as per Supreme court earlier decisions) that their
petition will be rejected CBI had filled this before the court for the
reasons best known to CBI as such they are wasting everybody's time
The HC has acted fair in disapproving and not being part of the witch hunt against Jagan. When these tests are not admissible as evidence then why does the CBI want to do it on selected victims? What has come out of the narco test on telgi? The HC should actually demand the findings to be made public as well as action to be taken based on those tests. This is malafide and done only to dig out source of the hidden wealth for blackmail / looting later. Now all of them await the death of Telgi which will officially close the case and the picnic will continue.
We wonder why CBI is wasting the court's time in reappealing for these
tests in the case of Vijay Sai Reddy, which was earlier rejected. The
earlier plea by the CBI was already rejected. And for both, Supreme
Court has already rejected such tests for anybody earlier.
Fair and impartial investigations are fine. But, biased witch-hunting is
deplorable.
Typically absurd way of handling an investigation.
