Pulivendula police registered a case against YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and 67 others under 11 Sections of the IPC on Monday in connection with their protest in front of Pulivendula police station deploring thrashing of YSR Congress activist, Rahmathullah, for alleged violation of traffic rules.

Meanwhile, speaking at Gannavaram airport, Mr. Reddy said that he would approach the Human Rights Commission against the police action. He said that one of the party worker was beaten black and blue by the police for no fault of his. “When I along with party workers went there in full media glare, the CI and SI were not there prompting us to sit on a dharna outside the police station, but charges have been framed against me under non-bailable sections,” he added.
