Contesting candidates launch door-to-door campaign

Campaign for the general elections is hotting up with all candidates of Karimnagar parliament constituency intensifying their electioneering braving sweltering heat wave conditions.

With AICC president Sonia Gandhi, BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao launching their campaign in the district by addressing massive public meetings, all the contestants were upbeat and intensified their electioneering.

All contestants of Karimnagar parliament constituency – Ponnam Prabhakar (Congress), B. Vinod Kumar (TRS) and Ch. Vidyasagar Rao (BJP) – have launched door-to-door campaign along with their respective Assembly segment candidates.

The contestants have been claiming that they were instrumental in the formation of separate Telangana. Stating that the Congress had fulfilled the dream of separate Telangana, Mr. Ponnam Prabhakar appealed to the voters to elect Congress for the development of the Telangana state. TRS candidate B. Vinod Kumar has been telling voters about the importance of self-rule in separate Telangana by electing TRS. BJP candidate Ch. Vidyasagar Rao is seeking votes for BJP “for the transformation of Telangana state”. Jana Sena Party founder and film star Pawan Kalyan’s election meeting in Sircilla and Huzurabad assembly segments on Saturday would give a fillip to the BJP candidate in the Karimnagar parliament constituency.

Similarly, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu is also planning to visit the district to participate in campaign in a day or two.
