Miscreants decamped with the processional idols of Lord Rama, his consort Sita and Lord Lakshmana from a temple at Kammalapadu, near Santamagalur, in the wee hours of Sunday. The temple priest lodged a complaint with police after he found the entrance doors of the shrine broken and the bronze idols missing, on Sunday morning. Based on the complaint, a dog squad and finger print experts were pressed into service, said Santamagalur Sub-Inspector Sivanagaraju. A case has been registered under Section 380 of IPC. However, the idols had no antique value, the police said.
