Mullapudi Narendranath, Joint Managing Director of Andhra Sugars Limited, was honoured by two Brazilian States for his contribution in the conservation and improvement of the Ongole cattle in India.
The 84th Expozebu held at Uberaba in the Minas Gerais State commemorated 80 years of genealogical registration of Indian cattle breeds in Brazil according to a press statement from Andhra Sugars.
ABCZ, the Brazilian Zebu Cattle Breeders Association, felicitated Mr. Narendranath on the ABCZ campus in Uberaba, Minas Gerais State.
The trophy awarded by ABCZ and the Ministry of Agriculture, denotes 80 years of official registration of various Indian cattle breeds in Brazil.
Brazilian presidential candidate, Governor of Minas Gerais State, Mayor of Uberaba city, Senators and leading cattle breeders attended the event.
At another event organised by Nelore Do Golias on the occasion of the field day, at Aracatuba of Sao Paulo State, Mr. Narendranath was honoured.
The function was attended by 1,800-odd leading cattle breeders from different countries of South America and the Emir of the United Arab Emirates.
