Blaze causes Rs. 2 cr. loss to dairy

Fire broke out at the milk powder manufacturing unit of the Ongole Dairy late on Thursday night. No one was hurt in the incident, as fire service personnel put out the flames taking more than three hours, Ongole Fire Officer M.V. Subba Rao said on Friday. There were more than 100 workers at the unit at the time of the incident.

Sources in the dairy said the fire, caused by a radiator blast, resulted in a loss of more than Rs. 2 crore.
