While the integrationists are in grief after the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha passing the A.P. State Reorganisation Bill – 2013, paving way for creating separate Telangana State, the political parties began the blame game on bifurcation.
With only a few days left for the elections, the leaders are trying to woo the voters throwing the blame on other parties over the recent developments in Parliament.
Congress party leaders argued that the ruling party cannot be accused for division of State as the decision was taken after consulting all the parties including Telugu Desam, Bharatiya Janata Party, CPI, CPI (M), Lok Satta and other parties.
After the Opposition TDP gave a letter of consent for dividing the State, the Congress party went ahead for division of Andhra Pradesh, said the MLAs, MPs and the Ministers.
The Opposition party leaders held former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajashekara Reddy and AICC president Sonia Gandhi responsible for splitting Andhra Pradesh. YSR Congress leaders are favouring separate statehood for Telangana on ‘Samaikyandhra’ slogan, they alleged.
Undemocratic“TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu asked to do equal justice and take consent from the leaders of all regions for bifurcation. But, the bifurcation of the State was done in an undemocratic manner, supressing Seemandhra people’s voice”, said former Minister Kodela Sivaprasada Rao.
TDP leader Prathipati Pulla Rao said that the party is committed for development of Coastal Andhra and Seemandhra regions, and asked the public to vote for TDP in the coming elections.
YSRC city convenor L. Appi Reddy criticised Congress, TDP and BJP for parting the State. BJP Seemandhra Parirakshana Committee convenor Jupudi Rangaraju said that BJP stood on its stand on Telangana State, and is fighting for development of Seemandhra regions.
Samaikyandhra JAC chairman Lavu Rattaiah said that due to the inefficiency of the public representatives, the State was divided and accused all political party leaders for the situation.
