“Our target is to constitute committees for another 5,000 booths by May 25 when party national president Amit Shah is expected to come to Vijayawada for a State-level meeting,” he said.
“We want to reach to the grass-roots level to create awareness on the Central government schemes and esnure that people benefited from them,” said State general secretary Suresh Reddy.
He said that the Executive Committee discussed about the prevailing drought situation in the State.
A resolution of the meeting would be released in Vijayawada on Monday, he added.
The Executive Committee also passed a resolution appreciating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to constitute a National Commission for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (NSEBC). “This has already been passed in the Lower House and we expect that it will be cleared in the Upper House as well,” said Mr. Suresh Reddy.
