The Congress Government had hatched a conspiracy to deny him an opportunity to speak on the A.P. Reorganisation Bill, 2013, in the Assembly, TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu alleged here on Friday.
“I expressed my intention to speak on the Bill several times to the Speaker including when Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy spoke for the third time. Both of them said I can speak on January 27 after Mr. Reddy concluded his speech on January 25. However, Mr. Reddy gave notice for resolution after the House was adjourned on January 25 to deny me that opportunity,” Mr. Naidu said.
Addressing a press conference, he said it was all part of the drama scripted by Congress leadership in Delhi and enacted by Congress, TRS and YSR Congress. The Deputy Chief Minister, Chief Minister and the PCC chief had prepared a road map for bifurcation of the State. But, they had made a mockery of the Assembly.
The entire process of bifurcation had been undemocratic and unconstitutional as it was taken up against the federal spirit.
He sought to know where was the urgency for the President to state in his communiqué that the Bill had to go to Parliament as early as practicable.
“If the Centre wants to divide the State according to Article 3, then why the Bill was sent to the Assembly”, he sought to know.
Mr. Naidu stated that he would go to Delhi to expose the conspiracy and drama being played by the Congress and would meet the President, Prime Minister and all party leaders.
He stated that he would also give his views directly to the President.
