Bail plea of redsanders woodcutters dismissed

Tamil Nadu deputes two advocates to argue the case of the accused

September 09, 2016 12:00 am | Updated September 22, 2016 06:12 pm IST - TIRUPATI:

The VI Additional District Judge’s court in Tirupati rejected the bail plea of the 32 persons from Tamil Nadu who were arrested in the first week of August.

The judge dismissed the plea as the investigation was pending in the case. The previous bail petition applied a fortnight back was also rejected on the same grounds. The case assumed significance after the Tamil Nadu Government deputed two advocates, Arul and Riyaz, to argue the case of the accused. It may be recalled that the Renigunta police and the sleuths of the RSASTF had arrested the accused, all hailing from Tiruvannamalai, Vellore and Chennai districts, near Venkatapuram burial ground.
