AU to evaluate renovation works

March 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - KAKINADA:

Andhra University is making arrangements to assess the quantum of works to be completed on its campus in Visakhapatnam and in its PG Centre in Kakinada, as part of the renovation and upload the details on to the University’s website, according to V. Umamaheswara Rao, Registrar of the University.

Addressing the alumni meet at the PG Centre here on Sunday, Mr. Rao said there was a gap between the grants sanctioned by the government and the expenditure incurred by the University.

“The Hudhud cyclone had an adverse impact on the University, which requires a complete facelift now,” he said.

The old students were supporting the University by contributing generously for the renovation works, he added.
